STEAK and eggs with focaccia (above) is a signature dish at Brewski, a fresh face on the Chorlton bar scene, opening on Friday, February 3. It’s part of an all-day pxckage that encompasses brunch featuring pancakes with maple syrup plus 20 inch pizzas, by the slice or to share, and (it’s compulsory now) gin flights and craft beer from 14 taps. All housed in a setting described as ‘American Lodge’.
Wild card on the menu, though, will be that classic Canadian stodge, poutine – basically chips, cheese and gravy with a variety of extra toppings.
Brewski’s on the Wilbraham Road site of the old Jam Inn and is the brainchild of the former owners of beach-bar themed Koh Tao in Fallowfield, James Daly and Steven Stockton-King. They are also planning a heated front terrace and a garden out back, to be ready by spring.
