LUNYA is celebrating one of Spain’s quintessential drinks with a very special Sherry Tasting on Tuesday, April 30. Tapping into the wealth of sherries on its shelves – 25 at the last count.
Over the course of the evening there’ll be eight stunning bottles to try, including the yearly release of Tio Pepe Fino En Rama and other rare and bespoke sherries – with many only available at Lunya. The Catalan-inspired deli/eaterie will also serve tapitas will be alongside each sherry. They promise an informal, relaxed evening whether you’re a seasoned sherry pro or a novice to the drink. It’s Lunya’s most popular event of the year, and is set to be a sell out once again so sherry fans and curious drinks enthusiasts alike are advised to book quickly.
Independently owned, and family run, Lunya Manchester is now home to the one of the biggest Spanish delis in the country (and the biggest online deli in the UK with over 1,300 products available), as well as the restaurant and Spanish wine and gin bar.
Owners Peter and Elaine visit Spain regularly, seeking out the very best suppliers, with whom they have established strong relationships – and they’re always developing new ones. Their explorations have uncovered exquisite products, which they buy direct from producers.
