RESTAURANT BOOKINGS FOR THE BLUES KITCHEN ARE NOW LIVE

15 April 2021 by Deanna Thomas

If Blues, Bourbon & BBQ are your thing, then today is a great day because The Blues Kitchen Manchester, a new music venue, club, bar and restaurant, has just started taking reservations.

The expert team behind popular London venues XOYO and Jazz Café aim to bring a flavour of the Deep South to the city. The two-floor venue, which will open on 20th May 2021, will occupy the former Walkabout site on the Deansgate end of Quay Street.

The ground floor restaurant will specialise in serving American soul food. Open all day for brunch, lunch, supper and dessert, its Southern inspired menu features barbecue classics and proper comfort food such as stacked-up burgers, creamy mac n cheese, finger lickin’ buffalo hot wings and succulent smoky ribs.

The bar will boast over 80 different bourbons including some rare and vintage bottles as well as a dedicated menu of cocktails, beers, wine and spirits. Their extensive whiskey menu covers all bases, offering Single Barrel – aged 12 years -, Rye, Corn & Wheated, Small Batch, Tennessee, Rare & Vintage as well as whiskeys from around the world.

The country’s finest blues and soul musicians will take to the stage seven nights a week in the restaurant and bar, while the 500-capacity Concert Hall on the first floor will play host to a diverse line-up of touring artists from all over the world - see What’s On here for the full line up.
