WHEN the 2019 Rochdale Food Festival wrapped up at 8pm on Saturday, March 16 we thought that’s the eyes of the foodie world off the town centre for another year. Now comes news of two street food gatherings set to become monthly fixtures at the Rochdale Market & Food Hall on the recently refurbished Riverside..
First up is the Rochdale Artisan Market, launching on Saturday, March 30 with a focus on local traders and produce. Operating the last Saturday of every month, it’s the latest venture from The Market Co, who run similar events across the North West.
More exciting is the arrival the following Friday (April 5) of Manchester street food heroes GRUB. Not content with setting up their first ever East Asian Food Fair (with a tap takeover by Wild Beer) on the last weekend of March (22 and 23) at their winter HQ, the Fairfield Social Club, they are bringing their regular Food fair formula to Rochdale. Full trader line-up when it's announced.
