Rudy’s Neapolitan Pizza has announced it will open Rudy’s Chorlton, a relaxed neighbourhood pizzeria situated in the former Lloyds Bank on 577 Barlow Moor Road, in June 2022.
The original Rudy’s opened in Ancoats, Manchester in 2015, and demand soon soared for its light and classic Neapolitan pizza. The pizzeria has since gone on to open sites in Sale Greater Manchester, Soho, Liverpool, Leeds and Birmingham.
Born out of passion for pizza, Rudy’s follows the authentic Neapolitan tradition of pizza making (universally believed to be the best in the world) serving classic recipes such as Marinara, Margherita and Calabrese – all originating from Naples, the birthplace of pizza.
Rudy’s dough is made fresh daily using Caputo ‘00’ flour and is left to prove for at least 24 hours, alongside the best quality ingredients imported twice a week from Naples. These include San Marzano tomatoes grown in the rich soil next to Mount Vesuvius, and Fior di Latte mozzarella. Following truly authentic Neapolitan technique, the pizza is cooked in a wood fired oven for just 60 seconds, all in accordance with Neapolitan pizza tradition, leaving it soft and floppy with a leopard patterned crust.
Max, General Manager of Rudy’s Chorlton said: “We’re really excited to bring Rudy’s to the Chorlton neighbourhood. It won’t be long before we are able to fire up the oven and serve delicious Neapolitan pizza. As a team we can't wait to become part of the community.”
Rudy’s Chorlton will be the 10th venue in the Rudy's famiglia. The new pizzeria will cater for over 60 guests inside, with alfresco dining for an additional 30 guests in a covered outside space.
