SADLER’S YARD FREE SUMMER JAM THIS SATURDAY – LET'S MILK IT

23 August 2018

NORMALLY at any event in Sadler’s Yard we make a beeline for the craft beer keglines in The Pilcrow Pub but this Saturday (August 25) we might just sneak in an artisan, organic nut milk first.

Leeds-based Just Mylk are among the traders at the third annual Summer Jam in the NOMA hub – part of a new look line-up at the products and produce market, with stalls also from arancini specialists Little Orange Co, Bakeorama, Ice Cream Science, Gourmegg, Small Shop and Frankly Delicious.

Street food options feature vegan Caribbean plates from Ital Fresh, traditional wood-fired pizza from Mio Pizza and hot dogs by Grandad’s Sausages with a wide range of drinks (cue The Pilcrow then).

Throw in an eclectic DJ and live music roster and it looks the perfect way to kickstart your Bank Holiday Weekdnd. Music will start from 12pm with sets by The Spook School, Mr Ben, Fruit Tones, White Flowers, Songs for Walter, Sun Drift and Dog Daisies, playing a range of indie, alternative, folk and acoustic music. They’ll supported by DJs Living Room Dance Club and Static Wave.

Plus new for 2018 is the addition of the Northern Art Carbooty taking place on Sunday, August 26 from 12pm. Now in its sixth year, this is  an extravaganza of art, craft, live performance, workshops, food and music, and, like the Jam, free to attend.

Summer Jam, Sadler’s Yard, Redfern Street, Manchester M60 0AB. Saturday, August 25, 12pm-10pm. Free. Family and dog-friendly. To secure your free ticket and guarantee entry click here
