Sanmini shakes up acclaimed South Indian menu

19 January 2011

Neil Sowerby SANMINI, the Good Food Guide approved Indian restaurant in Ramsbottom, is proud of its culinary roots in Tamil Nadu. So much so that it has named its new batch of set menus after dynasties in the South Indian region’s history. The four no choice multi-dish menus, called Pandiyan, Cheran, Pallavan and Cholan, cost £29.95 a head.

The first three are basically variations on one menu, just one starter and one main differing (featuring chicken, fish and lamb, respectively), with the Cholan veggie allowing more scope. As cheaper alternatives there are Mini’s Tiffin specialities, mainly veggie and ranging from £4.25 to &7.75. The Sunday daytime thalis remain.
