Situated upstairs in Jackson Row on Deansgate, Simply Heathcotes, which opened in 1996, has been at the forefront of modern and contemporary dining in the city for 12 years now. Described as âa catalyst for the rejuvenated Manchester eating out sceneâ, Heathcotes has provided us with quality dining at a reasonable rate.
Not for much longer, however. March 9th will see the end of Simply Heathcotes with a celebration, held for diners, to mark this important milestone in the career of Paul Heathcote.
In an attempt to replace and possibly better this dining Mecca, the celebrity chef will open a new restaurant, The Elliot. Situated downstairs in the same building on Jackson Row, The Elliot will feature a palatial champagne bar which will house over 50 varieties of the golden liquid, the largest cellar of its kind in Manchester.
The culinary entrepreneur showcases a portfolio of over 15 restaurants in the North West, The Elliot is to be the cherry on the cake: âI want this to be a restaurant which all of Manchester can be proud of. I am aiming to create the best restaurant in the city. It will be something really different to what is on offer at the present time and we hope this is an opportunity to really raise the bar in terms of quality.â?
