Manchester bar and grill restaurant, SoLIta, has a new weekend brunch menu. Taking in influences from New York, Manchester and Italy, SoLIta on Turner Street in the Northern Quarter, is named after its historical location 'South of Little Italy' when the streets of Ancoats were home to a thriving Italian community.
From Friday (24 January), diners will be able to enjoy brunch favourites from eggs Benedict (with or without steak - £9.90 with), to waffles and buttermilk pancakes, authentic and locally-sourced hot salt beef bagels, Full English toad in the hole (including bacon, sausage, black pudding, egg, tomato, mushrooms and a side of beans, £8.90) and decadent takes on classics, such as truffled egg on toast (£5.90). Muscle Mary's will enjoy the high protein bodybuilder's breakfast of six egg whites with charcoal grilled chicken breast and hot sauce £(8.90) while those seeking a hangover cure could opt for house waffles with buttermilk fried chicken - plus a US-style sausage gravy (£7.90).
