Southern Italian specialists Salvi’s to open fourth site up on High Street

BUSY man, Maurizio Cecco. Not only is he just weeks away from the third edition of his annual Festa Italiana (July 6-8) in Cathedral Gardens, he has just announced a fourth venue for his popular Salvi’s restaurant group – this time in the Northern Quarter.

The family-run business, based on quality ingredients from Italy’s Campania region,  already has three sites in the city centre: its original mozzarella bar and deli at the Corn Exchange (below) plus its Cucina and Pizzeria Napolitana restaurants on John Dalton Street.

Now the focus is on High Street next to coffee/brunch specialists Federal. Scheduled to open at the end of August, it will offer the full Salvi’s range from Neapolitan pizza and pasta to specialist fish and meat dishes. Starring, of course, the glorious beautiful buffalo mozzarella they fly in from the Naples region.

One advantage the new Salvi’s will have over its siblings is a sun-trap terrace for that essential Aperol Spritz in your life.
