COULDN’T make Glastonbury? Console yourself with a feast of Thai culture in Platt Fields this weekend. OK, maybe Thai boxing demos and lady boy shows at the Magic of Thailand Festival (Sat and Sun, June 29-30) can’t compete with the likes of Kylie and Stormzy, but it’s only £5 to get in, under-15s go free, and the food’s bound to be better.
There’ll be live cooking demos and a host if stalls serving authentic delicacies plus a Thai beer garden if the temperatures hit Bangkok heights. It might yet happen.
