Following on from the success of last years American Vintage extravaganza, the line-up for the first Spinfest of the year, held over Easter weekend will be every bit as entertaining with American Vintage and classics sounds from the USA from rock'n'roll to jazz and swing. Highlights include Three Wheels On old rockabilly and country trio, playing treats by Johnny Cash and Jimmy Rodgers, as well as 52 Skidoo, playing Harlem Swing, a music born out of the 1920s made famous by Fats Waller and James P Johnson.
Adding another dimension to the day will be a bright green double decker `fun-time` activity bus parked alongside the Courtyard in Spinningfields between 1pm and 5 pm. Providing high quality child-care for children from 2 ½ - 11 yrs in a safe, secure environment and completely free of charge, this children only space will be run by qualified child-minding staff. As well as offering amusement for the younger members of the family, it will give parents a chance to relax over a spot of lunch and live entertainment. Activities for the younger generation on offer include art and crafts, a sandpit, story corner, board games, badge making, Lego and much more.
