Stamford Quarter welcomes a weekend of festive family fun

7 December 2023 by Chloe Tuff

It’s the most wonderful time of the year at Stamford Quarter on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th December, with jam packed family festive fun, from games and competitions with Alty FC to crafty workshops with Inch Arts, as well as a drink pop-up and live entertainment. All the events across the weekend are free.

Broomwood Primary School will be kicking off the Christmas celebrations on Friday 15th December and the school’s choir will be performing favourite festive hits from 12:30pm until 2:30pm on George Street.

On Saturday 16th December the free Christmas crafts workshops with Inch Arts will take place on George Street, running from 10:30am to 2pm. Families can book on to three separate workshops, including a santa mask making session, festive hat creation activity and a Christmas craft session. Spaces on each event are limited.

Vanoffee will also be popping up on the day selling teas, coffees, hot chocolates and plenty of sweet treats.

The official Stamford Quarter partner, Altrincham Football Club, will also be on hand providing Christmas cheer on the 16th December, hosting a series of activities and competitions with the help of their mascot Rocky Robin. There are special prizes to be won for the whole family! Altrincham FC team members will be on site from 10:30am to 12:30pm and the newly opened Alty FC shop will be open, for fans to grab official club merchandise, match tickets and hospitality packages.

Di Voci Women’s Choir will be performing a selection of festive songs from 2pm until 3pm to end the celebrations in style.
