Street food favourite Chit n Chaat is opening a new restaurant at Deansgate Square

21 August 2023

Indian street food restaurant Chit n Chaat is opening its third Manchester restaurant in Deansgate Square this Autumn.

The Rusholme favourite first opened on the Curry Mile back in July 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. A challenging time for hospitality, the risk paid off, as ever since it has attracted floods of foodies looking for an authentic taste of India.

Fast forward to April 2022, Chit n Chaat opened its second space in Cheadle, where once again diners went mad for the Masala Dosa and Reshmi chicken kebab. Deansgate Square will be its first city centre restaurant, and with an already stellar reputation, there’s a lot to be excited about.

Chit n Chaat specialises in street food from the north to the south of India. Its menu features crispy Punjabi samosas, chilli paneer, bhajis and the iconic Vada Pav – a burger made from deep fried potato, as well as chaats and an impressive list of Indo-Chinese dishes.

Its Rusholme branch opens its doors early for breakfast, too, where diners can cure bad heads with Masala eggs or the Bombay Badboy - a full Indian English breakfast that comes with Masala eggs, spicy beans, Bombay potato’s and a choice of chicken or veg sausages.

Taking to Instagram, Chit n Chaat said: “Your weekend just got better! Incase you haven’t heard; we’re coming to Manchester City Centre and we cannot contain our excitement. Located in the stunning Deansgate square, you can finally get your Indian street food fix in the city. Watch this space.”

Joining the likes of Salvi’s, Kitten, Food Sorcery and Flourish at the neighbourhood, Chit n Chaat Deansgate Square is due to open in Autumn 2023.
