STREETSMART: Full list of Manchester restaurants joining campaign to fight homelessness

4 November 2025 by Rhiannon Ingle

StreetSmart, the annual fundraising initiative uniting restaurants across Greater Manchester to support local homeless charities, has officially launched for the season. Diners across the region can now give back simply by enjoying a meal at some of Greater Manchester’s finest restaurants.

This year, 26 outstanding restaurants are taking part. Throughout November and December, each participating venue will add a voluntary £1 donation to diners’ bills. Every pound raised will go directly to local homelessness organisations, made possible by StreetSmart’s official partnership with LandAid, which covers all administrative costs.

Funds raised through StreetSmart Greater Manchester will help vital charities such as CentrePoint, which provides Independent Living Advisors for young people, and Real Change Manchester, which offers direct financial support to people experiencing homelessness by working alongside existing charities.

With demand for homelessness services continuing to rise, StreetSmart aims to make 2025 another record-breaking year - delivering vital funding to the organisations supporting some of the city’s most vulnerable residents.

Glenn Pougnet, Director of StreetSmart said: "The festive period can be an incredibly tough time for the vulnerable people in our community. StreetSmart provides a simple way for people to help some of our city’s most in need - giving back whilst dining out at Christmas is what StreetSmart is all about and we’re thrilled to have so many restaurants already taking part. Every £1 added to a bill adds up and makes a huge difference. There’s still time to sign up too so if you would like to get involved please get in touch.”

This year, the campaign has drawn support from acclaimed musician, lead singer of Elbow Guy Garvey, who said: "Every single one of us is a direct descendent of a desperate, homeless, hungry person. We don’t deal in fear and alienation in Manchester; we step up and help out.”
