A SUMMER celebration of wine is set to take the stylish suburb of Didsbury by storm. Independent wine merchant Reserve Wines will host its seventh annual Summer Wine Fair on Thursday, July 8. The event, which takes place at the Northern Tennis Club, attracts more than 300 visitors who are each given the chance to quench their thirst for wine knowledge and discover new varieties from around the world. Situated on West Didsburyâs tree-lined Burton Road, Reserve Wines has developed the event to bring together the local community, as well as wine lovers from across the North West.
Reserve founder Kate Goodman said: âWe wanted to offer our customers the opportunity to try lots of wonderful wines, in a social environment that informs and yet entertains. Whether you know loads about wine or nothing at all, I guarantee you will learn something new about wine at our fair...even if itâs your drinking limit! Everyone who attends the fair has such a good evening and best of all there is an opportunity to place orders at the end of the night with a hefty discount attached.â?
More than 150 wines, champagnes, beers and spirits will be showcased at the fair to offer something for everyone. Each wine has been specially selected to add something to the event, whether it is a bottle from a small family-run winery, a quirky new grape variety or a New World take on an Old World classic. The Reserve team of experts will also be on hand to inform, inspire and impress.
The event takes place from 6.30pm-9.30pm and tickets cost £20 each from Reserve (176 Burton Road, West Didsbury, M20 1LH). For more information contact Alison on 0161 438 0101 or e-mail [email protected]
