THE Makers Markets are pretty thick on the ground these days but only one has extra spice. Bring a bottle of chilled water – the Swinton Chilli Fest is on Saturday, September 17.
Swinton Square Shopping Centre will host stalls selling HOT goods from around the world; chilli chocolate, ice cream, sauces, cheese and wine and herbs and spices.
Key 103 will be live on the main stage and there’s a sizzling salsa band that’s perfectly in tune with the goods on offer. To keep the kids well away from nibbling a Scotch Bonnet or a Japaleno there’s also a small fairground and face painting.
Meanwhile, the NQ Makers Market is back on Sunday with more than 100 traders, ranging from crafts to food, and the DJ sounds of Pasta Paul.
