Take a look at Piccolino Caffe Grande’s fancy new £400k private dining room

Popular city centre Italian restaurant and bar Piccolino Caffe Grande has unveiled a beautiful new private dining room following a 12-week renovation programme and a £400K investment.

Now that we’re tentatively allowed to socialise with friends and loved ones again, it’s great to have a fancy new city centre space to do it in. The impressive new 135sqm private bar and function room follows the restaurant’s acquisition of neighbouring Northern Assurance retail unit at 87 Bridge Street which it took over last April.

The stylish new private hire space has been designed by Bernard Carroll of Carroll Design using Piccolino Caffe Grande’s signature polished marble tables, soft duck-egg blue leather seating, and light-washed wood finishes throughout.

The private bar and function area will serve Piccolino Caffe Grande’s extensive selection of sparkling wine, wine, premium spirits and beers, many of which are exclusive to the restaurant. Special event and delegate menus promise a full taste of the premium Italian restaurant’s experience, with a selection of options catering for a wide range of budgets. For those looking to start their functions early, Piccolino Caffe Grande’s much-celebrated breakfast menu is also available.

The main multi-purpose function room features a 78” plasma screen and private sound system which could be used for business presentations for up to 22 people in a boardroom setting, or intimate preview events, with theatre style capacity for 40. For guests looking to host a celebratory event there’s standing space for 80.

The restaurant’s iconic shopfront windows offer an enviable view across Albert Square and Manchester Town Hall and is a perfect people watching spot. A private terrace adds to the appeal with seating or standing space for 40.

Piccolino Caffe Grande’s new function room is now likely to be popular destination for intimate wedding parties, providing the opportunity for happy couples to raise a glass across to the venue at which they took their vows.

“After what has been a difficult year for the hospitality industry, we’re incredibly excited to unveil our beautiful new private dining room and event space,” says Ettore Cicchetti, General Manager of Piccolino Caffe Grande.

“Investing such a significant sum in the expansion of the restaurant during the national lockdown is testament to our belief that the hospitality industry will bounce back bigger and stronger. After such a challenging time for everyone, we’re delighted to provide new and exciting opportunities to enjoy exceptional restaurant dining and create truly memorable events here at Piccolino Caffe Grande, whether they be a private dinner, business event, or celebratory party. We can’t wait to see guests’ reactions.”

Available to hire seven days a week, from morning through to midnight, Piccolino Caffe Grande’s premium private event space is located in the heart of Manchester. (All reservations are subject to government guidelines, with guest welfare the restaurant’s number one priority.)
