Manchester’s independent, Pan Asian restaurant Tampopo has added a secret limited-edition burger to its summer menu, but it’s only available to those who know what to ask for.
The AFC Burger, or Asian Fried Chicken Burger, is brand new but doesn’t appear on the physical menu, so is only available to order ‘secretly’ upon request.
Made up of a seven-spice fried chicken thigh, BBQ sauce, lettuce and Asian slaw in a supersoft bun, this top secret item will be available this summer for a limited time only, so fried chicken fanatics are advised to act fast.
Whilst the AFC Burger will only be available in Tampopo restaurants to those in the know, the dish can also be ordered on Deliveroo, and via Click & Collect orders across all Tampopo sites.
The AFC Burger forms part of Tampopo’s new Asian Fried Chicken menu, which was prepared in a dark kitchen during lockdown and launched exclusively via Deliveroo. Asian Fried Chicken by Tampopo has since become a cult classic with fast food fans racking up hundreds of five star reviews in the past year. The AFC burger will be the first of the Asian Fried Chicken range to be available in Tampopo restaurants.
