Tapas takeover at three day Spanish festival across Albert Square

30 August 2015

AN impressive array of Spanish food specialists is represented at Festejar, a three-day celebration (Sept 3-5) of all things Spanish, back in Albert Square after last year’s huge success.

There are delis from Ridgefield’s colourful La Bandera restaurant, Liverpool’s multi-award-winning Lunya (soon opening in Manchester’s Barton Arcade), La Vina, churros specialist Chrutopia – plus a deli selection to take home from Spanish Cupboard (Antonia and Sandra, pictured above) and a host of street food outlets.

Alongside a huge range of musical acts, the Cervantes Institute will be hosting taster sessions of flamenco, tango and salsa dancing – plus a beginners’ language workshop.

Albert Square, M2 5DB. Thu 3-Sat 5 Sep, 11am-11pm. Free entry. www.spanishfestival.co.uk
