My favourite place to eat out in Manchester is… San Carlos, King Street of course its a classic, I just love it! The service, and food is consistently good over many many years and the atmosphere is always buzzin (scouse word). I love the way you can do it quick and cheap with pizza/pasta with the kids or indulge with a gorgeous bottle of Amarone with the hubby.
The best dish I’ve eaten in Manchester recently… has to be Ali’s Chick Pea Croquetas at Evuna Deansgate, just the right amount of spice and a great source of protein for vegetarians which has always been a challenge for a veggie restauranteur: To get Spanish meat eating Chefs to create interesting Spanish inspired Veggie tapas.
My favourite dining room in Manchester is… Rosso – grand interior, stunning building.
My favourite lunch spot in Manchester is… dare I say it Evuna NQ, small, cozy, buzzing and serves a great glass of Rioja.
If I had to eat only one thing for the rest of my days it would be… chocolate, of course, although I’m trying to be completely plant-based and dark chocolate just doesn’t quite cut it.
Family-run Spanish wine/tapas specialists Evuna are celebrating their 15th anniversary by hosting two special 'Rioja versus Ribera Del Duero’ wine tastings at its Deansgate (Oct 29) and Knutsford Oct 30) branches. There is a third Evuna in the Northern Quarter.
