THAI cooking can be more than just a bland pub green curry. Proof comes at Vermilion's Thai Food Festival, created by master chef Chatchai Jamjang and featuring 10 new-to-the menu dishes.
The East Manchester restaurants sumptuous design is matched by the quality of its predominantly Thai cuisine. Dishes such as Pla Thod Yam Mamuang (£26.50), crispy deep-fried whole seabass served with crunchy fresh green mango salad, pepper and cashew nut, and Hor Mok Khoong Yang (£19.99), grilled marinated Ocean Tiger prawns, served with egg souffle, butter veg and pak choi, showcase the terrific seafood imports of parent company Seamark.
This menu will be for a limited time only and all food is halal.
Vermilion has built up a loyal customer base since it announced itself as the newest destination venue onto Manchesters entertainment scene with a flamboyant opening in 2007. The restaurant alone attracts more than 2,000 customers a week.
Situated next to Sport City in Ancoats, it has been one of the major drivers of regeneration in New East Manchester since opening on Hulme Hall Lane.
