Thai food continues to be one of the UK’s most popular cuisines, and now six restaurants across the country have been officially recognised with the Thai SELECT certification, the quality mark awarded by the Royal Thai Government to restaurants that serve authentic Thai food.
Thai SELECT’s purpose is to highlight restaurants that stay true to Thailand’s culinary traditions, combining authentic flavours with skilled chefs, quality ingredients, and warm hospitality.
Amongst newly spotlighted UK restaurants is Manchester's very own Thaikun, a lively and colourful restaurant inspired by Bangkok’s street markets, offering a fun introduction to Thai flavours.
Such restaurants show the breadth of Thai dining in Britain today, from refined menus in central London to family kitchens and street food-inspired favourites across the regions.

Their dedication keeps our traditions alive and evolving, and brings the refinements of Thai hospitality to every table.” says Mr. Jatuporn Buruspat, Minister of Commerce, Royal Thai Government.
With over 1,700 restaurants worldwide now certified, Thai SELECT helps diners everywhere identify where to enjoy a genuine taste of Thailand.
