The Black Friar launches a Monday pub grub menu and new weekday happy hour

Salford's much-loved gastro pub, The Black Friar, has announced it will now be open on Mondays and has introduced a new hearty and affordable menu to beat those Monday blues.


Black Friar’s new pub grub menu features delicious and wallet-friendly pub classics such as bangers and mash, fish and chips, Hunter’s chicken, or fish pie have been given a signature culinary elevation. Plant based plates include vegan roast cauliflower and potato aloo gobi that will keep you warm and cosy this Autumn. 


The new Pub Grub Menu will be available from 12pm until late every Monday and is a great new way to kick off the week. In a nod to the venue’s status as a Boddingtons pub, head chef Ben Chaplin has also created their very own “Black Friar Boddingtons bangers” in collaboration with a local master butcher. The Black Friar’s classic sides menu also helps to bulk up any order if you’re hungry.

The Black Friar has also announced a new weekday happy hour offering. Available from 4pm to 6.30pm Monday to Friday. Everyone is welcome to join early evening and sip on £4 beers, £5 cocktails, £15 wine and £20 fizz.
