The Botanist arrives in Didsbury along with spring’s green shoots

21 February 2017

A NEW Botanist is sprouting in Didsbury on Monday, April 3 in the former JD Wetherspoon pub, The Milson Rhodes, with Hispi and Solita as foodie neighbours.

It’s the 12th Botanist in the New World Trading Company portfolio, which also includes The Oast House in the city centre, where general manager Danny Leach was previously.

He told ToM: “We are very proud to announce the official opening date to the residents and visitors of Didsbury Village, and invite people in to see the stunning transformation of the space. We will be open for coffees through to cocktails with live music and our much-loved food menu from April 3, so come in and say hello”.

The new venture, which is hiring staff (interviews at Didsbury Solita, for more info visit www.botanist.uk.com), follows the chain’s successful format, inspired by all things botanical.

As well as a selection of global beers and ales, the extensive drinks menu, using 45 botanicals, sees a whole host of fresh fruit, herbs and spirits, merged and muddled to create a range of long and short cocktails. Food is inspired by the deli, rotisserie and barbecue.

The venue will also host live music, from energetic evening gigs to lazy Sunday afternoon sessions.
