New Century, Manchester’s most exciting social destination, is hosting a day of festive fun for the whole family on Sunday 3rd December. New Century’s Christmas Warmer kicks off the festive cheer in style, offering everything from free waffles, cocktails, vintage Christmas shopping and live entertainment.
Boyson’s bar will be transformed into a cosy hideaway. There will be sweet treats from Belgian Waffle specialists Bel Gem, hot chocolate and mulled wine. Bel Gem will be on site from 1pm to 5pm and the first 100 guests in the queue will get a waffle completely free. Be quick!
Other yuletide specials can be found from the New Century Kitchen traders. Highlights include a Venison Pizza from Wild By Ply, a Pulled Pig and Crackling Burger from Tallow and a festive Biryani from Spice Yard.
Of course, it’s not Christmas without a festive tipple. New Century’s Christmas cocktails are launching at the Christmas Warmer event, featuring three specials. Choose from The Frostbite (vanilla vodka, crème de menthe, crème de cacao, cream and nutmeg), The Grinch (vodka, lime juice, Midori, soda water and maraschino cherry) and Love Actually (Chambord, cranberry, grenadine and prosecco, topped with a cherry and sparkles). If you’re looking for something to warm you up then the Merry Berry shot, which mixes Chambord, Baileys and whipped cream, is the one for you.
Second hand shop Glass Onion Vintage is also hosting their renowned vintage clothing pop-up event in New Century Hall, perfect for sustainable Christmas shopping and finding something to wear for any upcoming Christmas parties. Tickets are from £1, which can be purchased here, and ticket holders will get a discount at the New Century bar.
Singer songwriter Rozerinn Asutay will be providing festive entertainment from 1:30pm on the New Century stage. With something for everyone, this event is set to be the highlight of the weekend.
