Ancoats bar and restaurant The Counter House has launched a new menu to mark the changing of the seasons.

Bringing a mix of over 20 new globally-inspired dishes to Manchester’s coolest neighbourhood, the menu represents the brand’s style of comfort classics and health-inspired plates from brunch through to dinner.

Menu highlights include the paprika, honey, and oregano half roast chicken with slow cooked new potatoes and chorizo (£19.40) pulled slow roasted lamb flatbreads with grilled courgette, pomegranate and mint yoghurt (£13) and French toast, dark chocolate mousse, banana cream and candied hazelnuts (£12.50).

The 62-cover restaurant overlooks Ancoats’ iconic Cutting Room Square and is open from 11am daily. Featuring an exposed brick interior, industrial décor and contemporary artwork, it’s a popular spot to share good food, wine and cocktails.

The Counter House Owner Joe Akka, said: “This latest menu offers a continuation of the globally-inspired dishes our customers know and love.

“We’re all about balance and this menu is no exception. Nutritious food should never be boring, and our crowd pleasing menu incorporates seasonal flavours and tastes from around the world, served in big and small plates – so there’s something for everyone.

“We’re looking forward to sharing our new menu with Manchester’s food lovers and kick off a great autumn/winter season in Ancoats.”

The latest menu launch comes as The Counter House opens for Christmas bookings. Diners can take advantage of a three-course festive meal for £39.50 per person.
