The Oast House Strives for a beer tasting world record

22 July 2013

ALE fans ahoy!  The Oast House in Spinningfields, hopes to sail into the Guinness Book of World Records on Wednesday, August 7 by hosting the largest beer tasting event EVER.

To break the previous World Record (a mere 267 tasters), beer fans new and old are required to toast at the Oast, with three measures of the finest ales from local brewers.

Living Ventures beer buyer Warren McCoubrey will be on hand to talk thirsty contenders through three samples from The Oast House's line-up.

This FREE party sets sail at 6pm with a Guinness World Records adjudicator on board to announce the success of the cask-cracking attempt live on stage. There’ll be music, too,  from Acoustic Flair on the Aperol Stage.

The current Guinness World Record is held by Biergilde BNB in Arcen Netherlands who had 267 participants on October 24, 2010.

Tickets are available now, contact [email protected]. Arrive from 5pm, tasting begins promptly at 6pm or just pop along for the spectacle!  www.theOastHouse.uk.com
