Over the past Ten years, Marple Bridge has quietly created a microclimate for fantastic cuisine on the outer rim of greater Manchester. From the ever-consistent Dutsons to the forward-thinking culinary delight that is The Hare & Hounds there has been a growing yet subtle food scene in the sleepy village and it’s recently welcomed another fantastic inclusion in Fold.

Headed up by local lad and exec chef Ryan Stafford and Head Chef Craig Sherrington, Fold takes over from the well-loved South Seven to offer the village a slightly more refined dining choice. Doubling as both a bistro and a bottle shop, Fold offers Diners a menu full of seasonal British sharing plates with multi cultural influences as well as some local North-West charm throughout every dish.
They also make a particular effort to champion community and source ingredients locally as much as possible using the likes of Boddingtons Gravy, grandma Singletons cheddar and a curry mile sauce.
