The grand finale to the festival season, Festival No. 6, has a real foodie angle to it. Taking place in the deliciously quirky surrounds of Portmeirion in north west Wales, this three day celebration of the best in music, spoken word and comedy offers a taste of the countryâs finest food too.
Street food is obviously a focus and thereâs a really unique offering for festival goers to get into. And with New Order, Spiritualized, Caitlin Moran and many more already confirmed to appear, Festival No. 6 is the only way to see summer out in style.
Street Food
Brought to you by the Manchester Food and Drink Festival experts, Festival No. 6 presents a tantalising food menu for all budgets, from pulled pork sandwiches, to line-caught fish and chips.
Itâs a real smorgasbord to tuck into, while watching your favourite band or checking out the magical stalls and alterative stages. Highlights of the menu include Splitscreen ice cream award-winning flavours served from their stunning VW ice cream van (one of only five in the world), the famous Tea Stop retro café bus, full of fabulous home-made cakes and vintage china.
Thereâs a host of global flavours to enjoy, crafted from the finest local ingredients too, with Mango Rayâs chilli con carne and, in an atmospheric pagoda marquee, Gandhiâs Flip Flop serves up vegetarian Indian food such as thalis and spicy wraps.
Tuck into a British and regional food fiesta courtesy of Barnaby Sykes handmade pies with creamy mash as well as The Thoroughly Wild Meat Co, using lamb thatâs grazed the Salt Marshes visible across the Dwyryd Estuary from Portmeirion to make burgers, steaks and spit-roasted joints.
Big breakfast fans will be in their element at the Breakfast Club too. Bacon butties, pancakes, eggs benedict and burritos are on offer alongside fresh fish and chips from the Sea Cow.
