The UK’s Largest Free Italian Food Festival Is Returning To Manchester And It Looks better Than Ever

Held in the gardens of Manchester Cathedral and sourcing dishes straight from a range of Manchester’s favourite Italian kitchens, this years Festa Italiana promises to be one of their biggest and best yet.

Brought to life 6 years ago by Salvis Owner Maurizio Cecco, Festa Italiana marries both Italian heritage and culture with a thriving hive of restaurants and traders.

Held across the August bank holiday weekend (25 – 27th August), guests can not only expect a wide variety of traders and classic Italian dishes but also pop up apertivo bars, Pasta making workshops with an array of local talent and much more.



Although this years traders are yet to be confirmed, it has been announced that Italian brewing company Birrificio Angelo Poretti are hosting a ticketed dining experience with Salvis. The brewery will have it’s own ticketed dining area and experience on Saturday 28th.

A range of Chefs will also be hosting workshops across the weekend in their specialty areas, Taking to the stage this yeah are Gennaro Contaldo, UK brand ambassador for Parmigiano Reggiano, Giancarlo Caldesi, Great British Bake Off 2021 winner Giuseppe Dell'Anno, Masterchef UK 2021 quarter finalist Sofia Gallo and Salvi’s owner Maurizio Cecco.

The event itself is completely free to attend however there are ticketed events and experiences across the weekend.
