WE’RE excited that nomadic street food gurus GRUB have found a new home from the start of November but there are new kids on the street, too. Project B launches on Friday, October 25 with a familiar mantra of ‘Beats, Bites, Beers’.
What is planned as a regular gathering occupies a disused car showroom at 8 Albion Street next to the City Road pub (think almost First Street). Its debut promises a quartet of food traders, our own Zouk Tea Bar plus out-of-towners The The Falafel Fella (Darlington, veggie offering from a converted caravan) and Kebab Kartel (Birmingham, shawarma on Kurdish flatbread) plus Hobo Gourmet (buttermilk chicken).
The bites look a spicier line-up than the beer, listed on their Facebook page – Dortmunder Union, Shindigger’s Grand Central, Frontier Lager and Project B Export Lager. Manchester DJ Omar B will be on the decks throughout/
