THIS WEEKEND: Campfield Market to host Food Market and Festival

26 July 2025 by Rhiannon Ingle

Manchester’s historic Campfield building is about to be transformed into a paradise for food lovers as The Weekender returns this Saturday (26 July) promising even more flavour, music and good vibes.

After a sell-out debut earlier this year, the GRUB x Department team are back – and they’re going bigger, with 50% more space to host over 40 carefully curated traders showcasing everything from handmade dumplings and gourmet tacos to artisanal bakes and indulgent sweet treats.

Expect bites from Baby Mayhem, Divine Dumplings, Sticky Fingers, Pez Tacos, Palette Bakery, Vanoffee, Above and Beyond Burger and plenty more names guaranteed to get your taste buds tingling.

And it’s not just about the food. The Northern Tango Academy will be stepping in from Instituto Cervantes to add a touch of Latin passion with free tango demonstrations, while Reform Radio DJs set the daytime soundtrack. Rounding off the festivities is a special DJ set from Matty White.

Jason Bailey, GRUB co-founder, said: "We were blown away by the thousands who came to the first Weekender. It’s incredible to see people exploring this historic space, supporting local businesses and having a brilliant time with friends and family. This event really is magic – and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back."

Entry is completely free and everyone’s invited. Doors are open 10am – 4pm on Saturday 26 July, with a full schedule of events and workshop tickets available online. And if you can’t make it this time, don’t worry – the Weekender will be back at Campfield on Saturday 30 August with even more traders, flavours and surprises.
