TROVE TO OPEN NEW MANCHESTER SITE

21 April 2021 by Deanna Thomas

Trove have announced that they are to open a new branch of their popular independent cafe and sourdough bakery within Bruntwood Works’ newly redeveloped Bloc building. Following the success of their second site in Ancoats, it will be the first central city site for the brand who will open a beautiful coffee and food destination on the ground floor of Bloc on 1st June.

Trove will complete the lifestyle mix at the new exciting Bloc development joining BrewDog’s new Dog House Hotel and FORM fitness (read more about that here) to create a mix of independent and innovative brands transforming the previously underused Fountain Street area of the city centre.

Bruntwood Works’ Bloc is set to launch in May with a renewed focus on the work environment to help boost productivity. The building will feature technology to monitor and optimise air quality, a state-of-the-art wellness suite hosting yoga and fitness classes by FORM, a sleep pod to help workers with vital rest and rejuvenation and a cascading garden in the foyer, with living walls throughout and on the building’s exterior facade

Established in Levenshulme back in 2011, Trove are bringing their concept to Bloc, serving their distinctive offering of artisan coffee and nutritious, handmade food and drink in a 1,000 sq ft space accessible via the building’s main entrance on Marble Street. The space will be open plan and informal - perfect for meeting friends over coffee, catching up on emails with a juice or unwinding over a carafe of wine.

Founder of Trove, Marcus Saide, said: “The Bloc ethos fits perfectly with what Trove is all about - taking care of ourselves and investing in wellness. As we approach our 10-year anniversary of Trove I can’t think of a better place to create our latest brunch destination.”

Trove’s menu is about beautiful food to be savoured and to power you through the day - whether that be a handmade sweet treat or granola and fresh fruit. The addition of Trove to the Bloc community is a recognition of just how vital good food is to our health and wellbeing, which corresponds with the building’s ethos of ‘powering productivity’.

Trove’s own freshly baked bread, pastries and cakes will be at the heart of the menu which will be focused around good, seasonal food and its connection to wellness. Whether it’s Trove’s vegan cooked breakfast or a cold pressed juice and seasonal salad, every dish is created with care using quality, local ingredients. Trove will also be serving homemade cordials, craft beers and natural wines.

There will be a range of organic raw cold press juices by One Zero Zero as well as new dishes prepared especially with post and pre-yoga sessions at Bloc’s basement wellness studio, RESET by FORM, in mind.

Trove will launch on 1st June and will be open Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm.
