Turkish restaurant Ottoman to open at Affinity Living Riverside

22 November 2023 by Chloe Tuff

Independent Turkish restaurant Ottoman is opening its first city centre restaurant at Affinity Living Riverside in February 2024.

The family-owned Lancashire Ottoman Bar & Grill has established a great reputation and fanbase in their home town of Chorley, as specialists in authentic Turkish cuisine. This will be the second venue for the Turkish grill favourites, joining the much-loved independent bakery and coffee shop Loaf MCR at Affinity Living and offering residents access to some of Manchester’s best independent hospitality brands on their doorstep.

Guests can expect dishes made from scratch with the highest quality ingredients with breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Menu highlights include Ottoman’s famous chicken and lamb shish kebabs, served with Turkish rice and Arabic salad, freshly made bread and homemade hummus and specials such as Lamb Butterfly.

The luxurious restaurant, spanning 2,863 sq ft will combine the contemporary with the traditional, embracing the vibrancy and colour of Turkish culture with a chic and modern aesthetic. The interior will feature purple, blue and green colourways, a bespoke bar with custom made neon lighting and elegant pampas grass and flowers suspended from the ceiling.

Ugur Ansin, director at Ottoman Bar & Grill said: “We cannot wait to open the doors to our Manchester city centre restaurant in Affinity Living Riverside next year. We’ve built a solid reputation in Chorley for providing the best quality food alongside a second-to-none service.

“My team has invested their decades of experience as butchers and working in Turkey’s top restaurants into Ottoman - creating a truly authentic dining experience. Manchester was the natural next step for us in opening a second restaurant, and we’ve got big plans to take our dining experience nationwide in the next few years. See you very soon Manchester!”
