2 April 2015

HERE’S you chance to get a real taste of France at the new look Cafe Rouge while enjoying the Oo la la excitement that always accompanies ‘le shopping trip’ to the Trafford Centre. We have a three-course meal for four with wine to give away to one lucky Taste of Manchester reader.

The French brasserie chain is giving itself a new gloss after 25 years introducing the British public to authentic casual dining the Gallic way. In comes a new menu with fresh new takes on French classics such as  boeuf bourguignon, poulet breton, moules and, naturellement, escargots (snails, Madame), which you can have as a starter or as a sampler pot for £1.95). The new French wine selection includes trendy Picpoul de pinet and classic Sancerre Rosé.

The new menu, designed by executive chef Duncan McEwan and also featuring breakfast treats such as warm baked chouquettes and truffled mushrooms on toast, has gone down a storm with Trafford Centre regulars and has now rolled out to their other UK restaurants. To learn more and see the full menu visit Cafe Rouge’s website.

For your chance to sample this little piece of Paris just off the M60 with three of your friends in  meal worth up to £150 in total (t&c apply)  answer this simple question: ‘What is the French word for snails?’

Mail your answer with name, address and telephone number to [email protected]. The competition ends at midnight on Wednesday, April 15. Bonne chance!
