New to the city centre, this Parisian bistro is one of our favourite spots for a chic lunch or supper. Serving just two courses - dressed salad, followed by the worldâs most popular dish, steak frites - itâs exactly what we want to eat this summer.
To celebrate the opening of Le Relais De Venise LâEntrecote in Manchesterâs âfood quarterâ, Taste readers have the chance to win a meal for two with desserts, soft drinks and a bottle of house red or white wine.
Itâs what we regard as one of the most authentically French restaurants in the North West and the menu prioritises quality and flavour. As at the original restaurant in Paris, start your meal with fresh leaves and crisp walnuts, before tucking into sirloin, sourced from the Queenâs butcher in London, the finest chipped potatoes and a special, secret-recipe herb-laden sauce.
The appeal of the fixed menu lies in its consistency and refinement. Steak is served blue, rare, medium or well done, and offered with or without sauce. Customers are unable to reserve tables, so anyone can dine at any time and the fixed price for two courses is £21 per person.
Sweet treats
For around £5 extra you can enjoy exquisite patisserie and classic desserts. Choose from fresh cream profiteroles, a towering meringue or an intensely French crème brulee.
