Win Tickets for the Real Ale Tasting at the Southport Food and Drink Festival
From 13th - 16th May Southport will turn into a hive of culinary activity as it hosts its 4th annual Food and Drink Festival.
Right at the heart of the town centre, the festival will transform the Town Hall Gardens and the surrounding area, into a full programme of events and activities for food and drink lovers of all ages.
Over the four days there will be a chocolate festival, a family day, an ale festival showcasing local beers and chef demos from a range of regional chefs including TV chef Simon Rimmer.
When the hunger pangs hit, you will be able to check out the Southport Restaurateurs Association Food Court where local restaurants will be serving up restaurant style food at takeaway prices. Or you can sample the delights of the various local, Italian and continental markets.
There are also a host of events planned in restaurants and bars across the town, details of which can be found on the website at www.visitsouthport.com/foodanddrink
The Spring Ale Festival, supported by The Campaign for Real Ale and Barons Bar, will take place in the Taste Pavillion, Town Hall Gardens from Friday 14th May to Saturday 15th May.
Over the two days the Taste Pavilion is to be brought alive with a host of breweries and micro breweries including Liverpool Organic, Southport Brewery, George Wright, Cains and Allgates, all offering up their finest brews.
Aimed at beer connoisseurs and novices alike, the ale festival is all about providing the opportunity to sample a selection of the regionâs finest real ales. We have two tickets up for grabs for the Spring Ale Festival.
