WEDNESDAY (March 8) is International Women’s Day and Manchester wine and beer importer Morgenrot have joined forces with South of France wine producer Hecht and Banner for a special fund-raising event at The Garage bar and restaurant in Spinningfields
The wine tasting is to raise money for The Pankhurst Trust, incorporating Manchester Women’s Aid – an independent charity providing a range of services for women and children affected by domestic and sexual violence.
Guests have the chance to enter a raffle to win a bottle of wine, restaurant vouchers or a weekend for two in Provence.
That’s one of the many vineyards area growing grapes for Hecht and Banner, who are provided unlimited premium wines on the night, which starts at 5pm. Also included in the £25 a head package, a chef’s buffet,a DJ and Pink Party on the rooftop terrace and an opportunity to meet the winemakers.
International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.
