IBERICA have some clout when it comes to shipping over guest chefs to cook with their own exec chef Nacho Manzano. The latest ‘Nacho and Friends’ culinary extravaganza is on Tuesday, November 15 when a trio of Spain’s finest join him in his Spinningfields kitchen.
All visiting Manchester for the first time, they are Oriol Castro, Eduard Xatruch and Mateu Casañas, the chefs and owners of Compartir in Cadaqués and the Michelin-starred Disfrutar in Barcelona, which recently won Best New European Restaurant 2016,. They will join Nacho to prepare an exclusive eight course dinner, with four complimentary drinks, all for £80 per head.
Expect some avant-garde forays in the cooking. All three are former sous chefs and right-hand men for Ferran Adrià at elBulli, five-time winner of best restaurant in the world. The menu for the evening will include Crispy egg yolk with mushrooms gelatin (below), Red tuna Iberico and Beetroot and fruit salad with Ajoblanco sorbet.
