The 2026 World Cup kicks off next month (11 June) and Manchester will be celebrating in style with giant fanzones, beer garden screenings and enough Guinness to keep the nerves under control through extra time.
From DJs and free Fireball shots to street food feasts and sweepstakes worth a grand behind the bar, venues across the city are pulling out all the stops for the tournament. Whether you’re after a packed-out pub atmosphere or somewhere to settle in for the long haul, here’s where to watch the 2026 World Cup in Manchester...
The Grosvenor
The Grosvenor is going all in for the 2026 World Cup with a huge Fireball-powered England fanzone. Expect giant screens, DJs before and after kick-off, wall-to-wall football coverage and a sea of St George’s flags from England’s opener onwards. Every England goal means free Fireball shots for fans inside, alongside giveaways including wigs, foam hands and matchday merch. Early bird tickets start free, with later releases from £3.

Black Cat Club
Black Cat Club is leaning heavily into football nostalgia this summer with a special 1966-themed food and drinks menu running throughout the tournament. Giant screens will cover every corner of the venue, including the gaming areas, so you can play darts or shuffleboard without missing a goal. The £19.66 menu includes burger-and-pint deals, pitchers and sharing plates, making it a solid shout for groups settling in for a full day of football.

Dirty O’Sullivans
Dirty O’Sullivans is kicking off the tournament by giving away 1,000 free pints of Guinness to fans who pre-book for the biggest fixtures. The Irish bar will be showing all the major games live with plenty of Guinness, Baby Guinness shots and entertainment around selected matches to keep the post-match debates flowing nicely. England games come with a minimum spend, but it’s fully redeemable behind the bar, which softens the blow when the nerves kick in during penalties.

Society
Society is turning Barbirolli Square into a proper World Cup hub this summer, with live screenings, a huge outdoor screen, over 40 craft beer taps and enough street food to keep you planted there from kick-off to full-time. England games, the quarter-finals, semis and final will all be shown, with the beer garden expected to do some heavy lifting if the sun behaves itself. There’s also a £1,000 sweepstake running through the tournament, where selected pints represent different teams. Pick wisely and you could end up watching the final with a very healthy bar tab.
