A collaboration between two legends, you can now enjoy food from Herbivorous alongside a beer at Oxford Road’s Big Hands.
Another trader that was sadly affected by the shock and sudden closure of Hatch, the Herbivorous team have found their new home at the legendary, red-lit boozer just as we thought it couldn’t get any better.
The team will begin operating out of the kitchen from Fri 13 October in a residency that will last up until Christmas.
Herbivorous was founded in 2017 by partners Robyn and Damian. They served homecooked, sustainable food across the country at some of the biggest vegan events and festivals before opening their first permanent restaurant inside Hatch in 2019. Since then, they have expanded into two new sites Withington and Spark in York.
On the menu you’ll find loaded burgers, buffalo wings and philly cheesesteaks – all made plant-based. The restaurant is also known for its indulgent mac and cheese, which they make with a creamy cashew cheese. You can order it topped with vegan bacon or barbecue ribs. The menu for Big Hands hasn’t been confirmed yet, but we’re expecting a wonderful line up of vegan comfort food.
Guests will be able to tuck into Herbivorous’ delicious plant-based take on junk food every Tue – Thu 5pm – 9pm, Fri – Sat 5pm – 10pm and Sun 5pm – 9pm.
