You’ll find Alex’s Bakery on Deansgate within the Great Northern Warehouse complex. Owner Alex Furlan and her team create freshly baked and fabulously decorated celebration cakes and the counters are always full of beautiful cupcakes and piles of delicious brownies and blondies in incredible flavours like stuffed Bueno or Jammy Dodgers.
The bright café seats 24 inside with room for a further 16 on the outside seating area on Great Northern Square. This is a lovely city centre spot for a morning coffee and cake or a stuffed cookie and a milkshake.
The light lunch menu consists of paninis, quiches, loaded croissants and soup but you can also enjoy a range of delicious English / Brazilian delicacies with one of Alex’s Afternoon Teas. They offer an everyday afternoon tea with homemade scones, mini quiches and finger sandwiches, a traditional afternoon tea with the addition of brownie and cheesecake and a supreme version which includes a glass of prosecco.
They also take orders for corporate branded cupcakes, truffles, cheesecakes and tarts.
