This alternative pub in the old school part of Manchesters Northern Quarter is an in-the-know kind of hide away. Ideal for catching up with friends or catching a pre-band on the wall drink, they have a huge range of regional beers and ales on the pumps and in bottles as well as excellent value food such as fish finger butties with chips. Best sellers include Krombacher, Hoegaarden and a number of changing ales. Right now a favourite brewery is Phoenix. Bottled beers lean towards the Belgian side of things with Delirium, Timmermans and Duvel. Fringe won CAMRA awards in 2013 for both its beer and cider offering.
