MFDF Restaurant of the Year 2006, EastzEast is the first Indian restaurant to have won this award. Along with its competitors Akbars, Zouk and Dilli, it serves complex and typical home-style curries with lashings of atmosphere across a clutch of outlets. Examples include Aloo paratha (£2.75), a chapatti filled with moist mashed potatoes and fresh coriander; Prawn fry (£4.95), tiger prawns shallow fried and served with an impressive garnish of peppery leaves; Karahi bhindi gosht (£8.95), lamb cooked with okra, and the Karahi paneer shahi (£8.50), cheese with tomatoes, mustard seedsand cream of cashew nuts. There's a diverse wine and beer selection too.
