'Creating and curing hangovers since 1978' says the cheeky blurb on the Coffee Pot's website. This Oldham Street stalwart hails from the days of greasy spoon cafes, but the Koffee Pot, which moved to a new location from the original (formerly the Ryan vintage shop and double the size) has reinvented itself in recent years.
It still does all your old school fry ups - choose from the KP Full English (£9), The Irish Fry (£10 but with added black and white pudding) or the Big Yin with haggis and a tattle scone. There's also a veggie brekkie and a vegan royal (both £9.)
Don't miss the Manc Muffin brekkie burger (£8) - a stuffed brioche bun stuffed with a sausage pattie, American cheese, streaky bacon a potato hash and a runny egg.
Also on the menu are stacked and loaded and fluffy American pancakes made with either buttermilk or available in a decent vegan version. You can also order a range of 'Bennies' (ham and eggs/smoked salmon/reuben with salt beef or the vitamin packed vegan version.)
All brekkies include a cup of tea but there's also a very comprehensive booze menu packed with cocktails, bloody Mary's, natural wines, beer, fizz and indulgent shakes (boozy or regular.) Soft drinks and super smoothies are also available.
