This wood-panelled neighbourhood coffee house, sits next door to Roost. It takes its name from the original site it stands on – Owler Nook, which meant 'Sheep Smugglers' Hide Out'.
You won't go hungry or thirsty here with hand roasted Union Roasted coffee 'crafted with love one cup at a time', loose leaf tea, handmade ice cream, milkshakes, and smoothies, as well as local beers, small batch gins and speciality wines.
The cakes are by all accounts excellent (try the lemon drizzle or the brownies). During the day they offer a variety of filled bagels while the evening menu features a range of mixed meat and cheese platters - perfect grazing and drinking fodder.
One area of Nook is devoted to cans and bottles of local, national and international craft beer for take out or drinking in (up the steps is a fridge for cold ones.) There are also five draught beers on offer.
