Located on the second floor of Selfridges’ Exchange Square store and featuring floor to ceiling windows and a spectacular solid marble bar, the Bottega is a chic restaurant/cocktail and champagne bar, serving seasonal small plate cicchetti-style dishes from lunch until 8pm Monday to Saturday and from 11am until 5.30pm on Sundays. Breakfast is particularly good here. Equally impressive is afternoon tea served downstairs in the San Carlo Gran Café, which even features a mini melanzane parmigiana (layers of baked aubergine, mozzarella and parmesan) and costs £15.95 per person; £25.95 with Champagne.
