Cicchetti (pronounced Chi-Ket-tee), are the kind of typical small to medium plates you'd find around Venice.
Cicchetti is the baby of the thriving San Carlo group of Italian restaurants and bars and they now have Cicchetti in London's Piccadilly, Covent Garden and the Manchester branch which is tucked onto the ground floor of House of Fraser department store.
Open since 2010, the location is unexpected yet works. This intimate restaurant serves Venetian tapas (order 5-6 between two) and more substantial pasta, pizza, meat and fish dishes. Menus change with the season. It's a great looking place, decked in chrome, faun leather and marble - you can sit by the window if you'd prefer to be seen.
You'll find an award-winning selection of mostly Italian wines, cocktails and beers.
Cicchetti is a place to see and be seen, with lighting and prices to match. We particularly recommend the tartare of fresh tuna mixed tableside, charcuterie platters, petit pizzas and homemade ice cream. Wonderfully comforting food in auspicious surrounds.
