Set on the A6, this is the unlikeliest spot for culinary dolce vita, but a Roman called Bepe created an Italian gem here in 2016 and it's gained a raft of regulars ever since.
Both pizza and seasonal pasta dishes are exquisite using well sourced ingredients. His light scialatielli pasta dish marries the ripest tomatoes with artichokes and prawns, while on the meaty side the salsiccia patate is a sizeable pork sausage lifted by a cute fennel sauce. For a fishy treat try the branzino – seabass cooked with clams and pancetta.
They have nothing against the classics, but wanted to offer a completely new approach to Italian dining, in a modern way, and true to their roots.
